Saved by the Frolicking Rodents!

Precious tells me, those darn groundhogs better come out and frolic today, is all I'm saying.

Yep, she has a good vocabulary ("frolic") does the Precious. She turns "Sweet 16" in a few weeks...*sigh*...

Anyhow, apparently both Pux Phil and Gen. Lee (now a 2-star general, it seems) agree we'll have an early spring. Even though it's going to be below-normal-cold for another week. Right, then. Clean off the patio furniture and schedule up some spray tan. I tried to find some decent groundhog art for the banner this month, but everything that was free was either not very good or too cutesy. I don't do cutesy. So I settled for the transition from snow to Valentine's, while acknowledging that this only technically covers half the month.

Semi-holidays like Groundhog Day make me think: aren't you glad we don't live in a time when people really do worry about rodents running from their shadows, or chicken entrails or what-not to order their lives? I know there are folks who really, really follow astrology and other pseudo-sciences, but it's not like we're the Romans, checking the slaughtered cow liver or something to figure out public policy toward our provinces.

Although some days, opinion polls don't strike me as much better.

Well, off to email and PowerPoint and other such delights. Ya'll have a nice day. Cheers!

I would like to see a continuation of the topic

Meanwhile, here in rottenchester, I have discovered that one can never trust a rodent to give you an accurate weather forecast...

I love the blog that you have. I was wondering if you would link my blog to yours and in return I would do the same for your blog. If you want to, my site name is American Legends and the URL is:

www.americanlegends.blogspot.com

If you want to do this just go to my blog and in one of the comments just write your blog name and the URL and I will add it to my site.

Thanks,
David
